Installation.
We use highly qualified installers when installing flooring products. We give you an overview on how long a job would take to install. All full quotes measured on site by us will allow for installation. If you have an installer you would personally like to use and would just like to purchase the product through us – then no worries, they are welcome to use our cutting room to cut your purchased materials.

Carpet Seaming.
In order to properly install your new flooring cutting and seaming are quite common as some rooms are wider than the width of the carpet. Today’s heat-bond seams are very strong. The thickness of the tape may cause seams to peak by 2-3mm, but this will settle down over time as the seam beds into the underlay. Installers will make these seams appear invisible as possible, however as with all products installed in lengths such as wallpaper, no seam is entirely invisible. |
Floor Substrate and Preparation.
Please note floor substrate requires preparation before installation. When installing products such as garage carpet, vinyl flooring, vinyl plank flooring and laminate flooring, that installers will have to prepare your floor which may require extra charges. We try our best to foresee flooring preparation where we see fit in order to guarantee your floor once installation has occurred. Note in some instances, additional charges will apply where flooring preparation has not been added and not specified. |
Direction of the Carpet and Meterage.
Carpet is sold in 3.66m (and sometimes 4m) wide. Because many areas in your home or project will be wider than this figure, there will have to be joins. The less carpet we use for these areas, the more joins, and vice versa where the more carpet we use, the less joins.The way you decide to run your carpet will affect where your joins will be placed and the amount of carpet you use. Our recommendation is always to push for few joins as possible to achieve a good finish. If you wish, we can quote for little carpet used as possible. Customers must sign off on the cutting plan prior to commencement. Please note, a quote requesting more joins will not an installed finish to a standard we would recommend, and therefore may not be covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act. Make sure that you are happy with the placement of seams before you accept the quote.
